The Carolina Hurricanes have gone further in the playoffs than I thought they would, and not just because I anticipated the Devils taking them out in the first round. I was surprised they beat the Bruins. That being said, I don't see them beating the Penguins and I will not root for them. But if Joe gets a Superbowl championship and a Stanley Cup in the same year, I will be pea green with envy.

Why can't my teams win on national TV?
It really bothers me that my teams can't shine with the national tv eye upon them. I don't have proof of this, but I could get it, I'll bet. As a NY area sports team follower in the Midwest, I have few opportunities to watch my teams on tv, but I usually end up wishing they'd stayed on MSG.
